What format are the photos in?
All photos at World Photo Store are in JPG format.

Can I submit photos to sell?
Yes. To sell your photos you have to be registered as Photographer at World Photo Store . You can Sign up as photographer here.

Do you offer refunds?
Once your purchase is made we can not offer a refund. The reason for this policy is because we offer full access to our entire digital collection of photos and, as such, there is no way for our products to be returned. On a rare occasion we will make exceptions on a case by case basis.

Are there any restrictions on my use of the World Photo Store photos that I download?
Yes. While World Photo Store offers great freedoms and a wide ranges of uses, we do not allow the redistribution of our photos, or allow the use of our photos within products that are mass distributed in any type of archive format.

If I purchase a subscription are there any other fees I will encounter when downloading from the site?
No, an unlimited membership allows you full access to download any photos on our site at no extra charge.

Is account sharing allowed?
No, sharing an account is no different than distributing our materials to others. Individual accounts must be purchased by your friends and colleagues.

I bought a subscription, but it says I'm not activated, what do I do?
On rare occasions our merchant processors may not send the information of your transaction to our system, so your account may not be automatically activated. Therefore, if you have made a purchase of our yearly subscription and you are not able to access photos World Photo Store using your details, send a support request.

PHOTOGRAPHERS FAQs

Can I submit photos to sell?
Yes. Please sign up and upload as many images as you like. It is completely free to upload and sell your images and you will recieve commision for all the photographs that you sell. Only JPG file types (1600x1200 pixels) and above will be accepted. Join here.

What other information is needed when I upload images?
When you upload your photographs to worldphotostore.com you will also need to provide information about the image. You will need to supply a title, description, category and appropriate keywords, we like to allow freedom with the information you provide but please bear in mind what a potential customer may be searching for.

How & When do I get paid?
Photographers are paid on the 28th of each month via the payment method chosen when signing up (paypal or check) subject to a minimum payment of $25 for PayPal and $50 for check.

How long does it take for my images to be processed?
During busy periods please allow up to 7 days for images to be processed but normally your images will be processed within 1-2 days.

What type of images do you require?
We are currently interested in photographs from the all countries which show off a specific area, photographs will generally need to fit into the all categories at our website. Please browse the website to get a better idea of what we require.

Why has my image been rejected?
We appreciate a lot of time and effort goes into uploading images, when images are rejected it does not mean they are a bad photo, but more likely would be unlikely to sell on our particular website. Please read the following most common rejection reasons.

Composition issues images lack a clear focus, too busy, images are badly composed (subject not well positioned), images contains foreign elements that distract from the main focus of the photo.

Missing information without giving your image a title, description & keywords images will automatically be rejected in most cases, a potential buyer has no way of finding your image without this information.

Image quality image may not be high enough resolution or contain noise/grain.

Copyright Issues images may contain faces/copyrighted logos etc. Sometimes we will ask you about Model Release ! ( click here for MODEL RELEASE or PROPERTY RELEASE )

Wrong subject images do not fit into any of the categories that we offer for sale.

How can I improve sales of my photographs?
For your images to sell, buyers must be able to find them. Giving your images as much information as possible will make them a lot more likely to be found and purchased. It also helps overall sales if you place a link to www.worldphotostore.com on your website/blog.

DiGiArt, is a professional service company that promotes the highest standards in photojournalism, acknowledges concern for every person's need both to be fully informed about public events and to be recognized as part of the world in which we live.

Photojournalists operate as trustees of the public. Our primary role is to report visually on the significant events and on the varied viewpoints in our common world. Our primary goal is the faithful and comprehensive depiction of the subject at hand. As photojournalists, we have the responsibility to document society and to preserve its history through images.

Photographic and video images can reveal great truths, expose wrongdoing and neglect, inspire hope and understanding and connect people around the globe through the language of visual understanding.

Photographs can also cause great harm if they are callously intrusive or are manipulated. This code is intended to promote the highest quality in all forms of

photojournalism and to strengthen public confidence in the profession. It is also meant to serve as an educational tool both for those who practice and for those who appreciate photojournalism.

To that end, www.worldphotostore.com sets forth the following Code of Ethics:

Photojournalists and those who manage visual news productions are

accountable for upholding the following standards in their daily work:

1. Be accurate and comprehensive in the representation of subjects.

2. Resist being manipulated by staged photo opportunities.

3. Be complete and provide context when photographing or recording subjects. Avoid stereotyping individuals and groups. Recognize and work to avoid presenting one's own biases in the work.

4. Treat all subjects with respect and dignity. Give special consideration

to vulnerable subjects and compassion to victims of crime or tragedy. Intrude on private moments of grief only when the public has an overriding and justifiable need to see.

5. While photographing subjects do not intentionally contribute to, alter, or seek to alter or influence events.

6. Editing should maintain the integrity of the photographic images' content and context. Do not manipulate images or add or alter sound in any way that can mislead viewers or misrepresent subjects.

7. Do not pay sources or subjects or reward them materially for information

or participation.

8. Do not accept gifts, favors, or compensation from those who might seek to influence coverage.

9. Do not intentionally sabotage the efforts of other journalists.

Ideally, photojournalists should:

1. Strive to ensure that the public's business is conducted in public. Defend the rights of access for all journalists.

2. Think proactively, as a student of psychology, sociology, politics and art to develop a unique vision and presentation. Work with a voracious appetite for current events and contemporary visual media.

3. Strive for total and unrestricted access to subjects, recommend alternatives to shallow or rushed opportunities, seek a diversity of viewpoints, and work to show unpopular or unnoticed points of view.

4. Avoid political, civic and business involvements or other employment that compromise or give the appearance of compromising one's own journalistic independence.

5. Strive to be unobtrusive and humble in dealing with subjects.

6. Respect the integrity of the photographic moment.

7. Strive by example and influence to maintain the spirit and high standards

expressed in this code. When confronted with situations in which the proper action is not clear, seek the counsel of those who exhibit the highest standards of the profession. Introduction

This web site is operated by DiGiArt as www.worldphotostore.com ("we" or "us").

The web site provides access to a number of services that may be used in accordance with these terms. The services include:

The ability to upload digital images to the web site or to email digital images to us so that we can upload them to the web site on your behalf;

The ability to order prints of digital images that have been uploaded to the web site or emailed to us.

These terms govern the relationship between you and us. The web site (and the services provided through the web site) can only be used if you agree to these terms. You may only use the web site in accordance with these terms.

Only persons aged eighteen years or over may agree to these terms and use the web site or the services offered through the web site.

We may modify these terms at any time. We will post the modified terms on the website. We will notify you by email if we do so. The modified terms will come into effect as soon as they are posted on the web site and use of the web site (or of any services provided through the web site) after that point will be subject to the modified terms.

Your Account

You may open a Photographers account with www.worldphotostore.com by completing the Registration Form. Once your registration has been accepted (and until your account is terminated) you will be allowed (subject to the restrictions contained in these terms) to upload images to the web site, to email images to us to upload the web site on your behalf and (subject to agreeing to any additional terms applying to them) request services to be supplied by us (such as the printing of images uploaded or emailed by you or on your behalf).

You will have to give your full name, contact address phone number and email address in order to open an account. Your email address will help us to verify your identity on future visits. In the event that you register using a non-existent or false details, www.worldphotostore.com may terminate your account without notice. You will need to provide a password by which you will be able to access the material that you have uploaded to the site.

There is no charge for opening a www.worldphotostore.com Photographer account.

Images

You may upload digital images to the web site yourself or email them to us to upload to the web site. Images uploaded to the web site or emailed to us for uploading must be digital images in JPEG format.

You may be asked to prove the photo is yours by supplying the "raw" file to the image uploaded.

Images uploaded should NOT contain any watermarks. Images uploaded will be protected with site security measures as well as a dynamic watermark provided by www.worldphotostore.com. If your image were to contain a watermark, it would appear on the product downloaded by the customer. Per our terms and conditions, the customer is to receive a fully usable digital image with the limitations outlined in our terms of use and rights limitations.

Images uploaded by you or by us on your behalf will (subject to the restrictions in these terms) be made available for viewing by you in a photo category.

You may delete images uploaded to the web site by contacting with us.

Fee's and Payment

We take a 40% profit fee from every sale of your images. You will get 60% or more.

This profit fee is for providing the following to you;

* Hosting of your images

* Merchant Account

* Fulfillment of customer order, etc.

* Credit Control

* Customer support

* Marketing and promotion

Please note: The percentage fee is from the profit of the sale, not the gross sales price. You pay all PayPal transaction fees. Currently these fees are (2.9% of the sale + $0.30).

www.worldphotostore.com will provide all photographers with a sales and income report in any month they have commission fees coming to them. This report will indicate total sales, print/production costs, profits, and commission break out.

This fee will be negotiated when your account is setup and reviewed monthly.

Our standard fee is currently 40%.

Payment of completed sales minus fees is made on the 28th of each month via PayPal or Check.

With payment by check we charge additional $2.

What you are NOT allowed to do

You are not allowed to copy (whether by printing off onto paper, storing on disk or in any other way), distribute (including distributing copies), alter or tamper with in any way or otherwise use any material contained in the web site.

You are not allowed to use the web site (or to copy or use any material from the web site) for any commercial purpose other than to conduct a commercial transaction with www.worldphotostore.com.

You are not allowed to remove any copyright, trade mark or any other intellectual property notices contained in the original material from any material copied or printed off from the web site.

You are not permitted to register multiple accounts for use by the same person unless specifically authorized by us in writing by www.worldphotostore.com. Violation of this clause may result in suspension of your service.

You must keep your password secure at all times. You will be responsible for any damage caused by unauthorized access resulting from your failure to keep your password secure.

You are not allowed to upload, email to us or order prints of any images or other material which contain the following which is not of a "news" nature:

- nudity or pornographic or obscene material;

- racist material;

- material that is likely to incite hatred against any person or group;

- blasphemous material;

- defamatory or otherwise actionable material;

- images of any criminal act;

- material the use or inclusion of which infringes any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property right of any third party;

Material that breaches any applicable laws or legislation.

We may at our discretion contact law enforcement authorities if we believe that anything unlawful is occurring or has occurred in relation to the website (including the uploading or emailing of any images in breach of the above restrictions). We may provide copies of any relevant images or material to the law enforcement authorities and in that connection may also give them access to any personal data that is held by us.

We may without notice and at our sole discretion delete or remove any image that has been uploaded, emailed or submitted for printing in breach of these terms.

We may refuse to provide any further services to anyone who breaches these terms.

You will indemnify us and our officers and employees against any action, claim, damages, liability, costs and expenses arising out of:

Any use by you of this web site in breach of these terms,

Any claim that the uploading or emailing of any images by you or on your behalf is an infringement of any third party's copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property rights;

Any claim that the processing, printing or other dealing with by us in accordance with these terms of any images uploaded or emailed by you or on your behalf is an infringement of any third party's copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights.

Your Rights.

You retain all intellectual property rights, including copyright, to the images that you have uploaded to the web site or emailed to us.

We may delete, remove or refuse to display any material from your uploaded images at our sole discretion.

We may display, modify, print, transmit, distribute or delete any of the images that you upload or email to us, provided that this use is necessary in order to provide any of the services offered by us via the web site or is otherwise allowed by these terms.

It is a condition of allowing you to use the web site and any services offered through it that you have the right to copy, upload or otherwise deal with images in relation to the web site and to allow us to process and otherwise deal with those images in accordance with these terms. You may not upload, email to us, request us to print or otherwise deal in relation to the web site with any images or other material unless you have the right to do so and to allow us to use such images or other material in accordance with these terms. For example, you may not take photos from another web site or other publication and do anything with them unless you have the permission of the relevant rights owner.

Operation of the web site.

We may change the format and content of the web site (or any products or services offered by this web site) at any time.

We may terminate or suspend the operation of this web site (or terminate or suspend provision of any products or services offered via this website) for support or maintenance work, in order to update the content or for any other reason. We may do this at any time and without notice.

You are advised to keep backups of all material provided to us. In particular, it is up to you to keep backup copies of images uploaded by you or emailed to us. We will not be responsible for keeping backups or for loss of, deletion or corruption of any images or any other material.

Data protection.

Personal data provided to us through this web site will only be used in accordance with our privacy policy. Please read through this carefully before proceeding. By providing your personal data to us you are consenting to its use in accordance with our privacy policy.

Termination.

You may terminate your account by contacting us via email or post. You may be asked to provide further proof that you are the holder of the account. Your account will be terminated as soon as reasonably practicable following receipt of your email or letter.

We may terminate your account without notice at our sole discretion.

Once your account is terminated, your images will be removed from the website and your password will no longer enable access to the password protected areas of the site.

Questions or complaints
Complaints or claims must be notified to us within twenty eight days of receipt of goods, or in the case of non-delivery, in a reasonable time after the goods were expected to arrive.

Law and jurisdiction.

These terms (and the provision of goods and services by us) are governed by and to be interpreted in accordance with United States laws. In the event of any dispute arising in relation of these terms or in relation to the provision of any goods and services by us the United States courts and legal system will have exclusive jurisdiction over such dispute.
